The SCA Recreational Rivers Committee is pleased to announce that the 2008 Wet West Paddlefest will be held over the weekend of 13-14 September in and around Fort William and the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands.
We have now confirmed arrangements for both days’ paddling, although we have not finalised entertainment options yet.

We are further pleased to announce the attendance of both Desperate-Measures the canoe shop, and Palm Equipment / Dagger at this year’s event - both will be bringing a host of goodies (including demo boats!) as well as some very generous raffle prizes…
The guys at Des-Mes have contributed the STAR prize for this year’s raffle: the winner’s choice of Dagger GT, Juice or G-Force in a size to suit! (All proceeds from the raffle above the running cost of the WWPF go towards Access).
- Saturday - release on the river Garry (harder options will be available for experienced groups, rain depending)
- Sunday - release on the river Moriston (there are local alternatives for less experienced groups)
Shuttle buses and both nights’ entertainment (as well as t-shirts, first aid cover, marshalling, etc.) will all be covered in the ticket price - £15.. Please note, however, that food, alcohol etc. will not be included…

Finally, can all members of the SCA/WCA/CANI/BCU please bring their membership cards! Membership is not necessary to attend the event, but it will make the event far easier, and cheaper for us to run due to insurance concerns. Click here for more info…
